Carry plenty of water—no sources on trail. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good ankle support for uneven ground. In summer (Dec–Feb), start early to avoid heat and be aware of bushfire risk; check conditions before visiting. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers pleasant temperatures and wildflowers. Dogs often prohibited in reserves; check local regulations.
