What to expect
Well-used but sometimes rough underfoot track through scrub and open woodland. Moderate to steep sections, especially on descent. Limited shade in many areas; expect full sun exposure in summer. Track is signposted but navigation requires attention. Bring a map or GPS as the route can be confusing at junction points.
Good to know
Carry at least 2 litres of water and start early, especially in warmer months. Summer bushfire risk means checking conditions before visiting. Wear sturdy footwear with ankle support for uneven ground. Spring (August–October) offers cooler conditions and wildflowers. Dogs are generally not permitted on walk trails in the Yanchep area.
