What to expect

Good to know
Carry at least 1–1.5 litres of water and wear sturdy walking boots with good ankle support for the terrain and elevation. Avoid walking in summer heat or during high bushfire-risk periods (Nov–Apr). Spring wildflower season (Aug–Oct) offers pleasant conditions. Allow extra time if fitness is moderate; start early to finish before dark.
