What to expect
Mostly flat to gently rolling asphalt path running parallel to Roe Highway through suburban Perth. Signposting and line markings guide cyclists; sections run close to traffic, so road awareness is essential. Minimal shade in open stretches; some tree cover in residential areas. Surface is smooth and well-maintained, designed for sustained cruising speed rather than technical riding.
Good to know
- Open to cyclists
- Firm/surfaced — more accessible going
Carry water for the full distance. Summer heat and sun exposure demand a hat, sunscreen and hydration plan. Morning or late-afternoon rides avoid peak heat. Check weather before long rides; this is an exposed route. Suitable for road bikes and hybrid cycles with good tyres. Best ridden autumn through spring when temperatures are cooler.
