What to expect

The trail is signposted and shaded by tall timber for most of the walk. Some exposed sections in open heath; gradual elevation gain makes for steady climbing one way.
Good to know
Carry at least 1.5 litres of water; there are no reliable sources on-trail. Wear sturdy walking boots for grip on loose sections. Spring (August–October) offers best wildflower displays. Avoid peak summer heat. Check conditions after heavy rain, as the track can be muddy. No facilities at the trailhead.
