What to expect
Uneven track with rocky patches and steep climbs. The trail winds through bushland with variable gradient—some sections are steep enough to test fitness and balance. Expect exposed stretches and areas with shade from native trees. The track is generally signposted but requires attention to navigation. Surfaces are mixed: dirt, rock and roots underfoot. Not suitable for those seeking a flat, easy walk.
Good to know
Carry at least 2 litres of water; there are no reliable supplies on trail. Wear sturdy walking boots or riding shoes with good grip. Avoid peak summer heat (Dec–Feb) when bushfire risk is high. Spring wildflowers (Aug–Oct) brighten the route. Check conditions before setting out, especially after rain when muddy sections may be slippery.
