What to expect
Unpaved track with uneven footing, rocky sections and potential mud after rain. Terrain undulates with some steep grades. Tree cover provides intermittent shade but sections are open to sun exposure. Track is lightly used; carry a map and check conditions beforehand. Navigation markers may be minimal, so route-finding skills are essential.
Good to know
Carry plenty of water (2–3 litres minimum) and sun protection. Not suitable in summer due to heat and bushfire risk. Spring wildflower season (Aug–Oct) offers better conditions. Sturdy walking boots or all-terrain mountain bike tyres essential. Check local access conditions and weather before heading out; the track can become boggy or impassable after heavy rain.
