- Elevated vantage points and landscape views
- Well signposted throughout
- Half-day adventure for fit walkers
- Varied terrain and natural bushland
What to expect
Undulating terrain with sections of elevation gain that test fitness. The trail winds through native bushland with mixed shade from jarrah and marri; some open stretches expose you to sun. Ground is a mix of packed earth and rockier sections. Signposting is clear, though the full 16 km distance means sustained effort. Steady gradient rather than steep, but cumulative over the distance.
Good to know
- Waymarked route
Carry at least 2 litres of water—there are no reliable water sources on trail. Start early to finish before afternoon heat, especially in summer months when bushfire risk is high. Wear sturdy walking boots with good ankle support for rough ground. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers cooler conditions and wildflowers. Check fire conditions before visiting in warmer months.
