- Moderate to steep sections test fitness
- Accessible from Midland
What to expect
Uneven bushland terrain with exposed rock, root systems and variable footing. Several steep sections and sustained climbs make this a challenging walk rather than a gentle stroll. The trail winds through jarrah and marri forest with patches of open scrub. Signposting is clear, though focus and sure feet are needed. Shade varies; some sections are well-shaded forest, others more exposed to sun.
Good to know
- Waymarked route
Carry 1–2 litres of water and sun protection; there are limited shaded rest spots. Wear sturdy, closed walking boots with good ankle support. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers mild temps and wildflowers; summer (Dec–Feb) is hot and carries bushfire risk—check conditions before heading out. Allow 2 hours minimum plus stops.
