What to expect
Typical Perth bushland track with a mix of sandy and sometimes rocky underfoot conditions. Gentle to moderate grade with some short climbs. The trail is signposted throughout. Shade varies — sections run through open heath and scattered eucalypts, so sun exposure is likely on hot days. Well-defined path for most of the route.
Good to know
Carry at least 1.5 litres of water, especially in warmer months (October–April). Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip. No facilities are marked at the trailhead, so plan accordingly. Spring (August–October) offers wildflowers and cooler conditions. Summer heat and bushfire risk are significant — check fire danger ratings before heading out.
