What to expect
Rocky and sandy forest floor with uneven footing throughout. The track climbs and falls moderately across the undulating South-West terrain; no extreme elevation gain, but continuous ups and downs test fitness. Some sections less heavily trafficked; good map and navigation sense essential. Dappled shade from tall forest canopy but patches of open woodland. Signposting variable—stay alert to track markers.
