Lennard Road is a 16 km challenging track near Bunbury that rewards fit walkers with a full morning or afternoon venture into bushland. The inland route takes three and a half hours return, climbing and descending through forest terrain typical of the South-West. Bring plenty of water and start early to avoid the heat, especially outside winter months.

What to expect
Forest track with uneven, rooty ground underfoot. The route includes noticeable climbs and descents that earn its challenging rating. Tree cover offers some shade beneath jarrah and marri, but exposed sections mean you'll feel sun and wind. Track is signposted but navigation demands attention; bring a map and know the trail before you go.
Good to know
Carry 2+ litres of water; there are no reliable sources on-track. Start early to finish in daylight. Wear sturdy walking boots with good ankle support for the uneven terrain. Summer heat and bushfire risk make winter to early spring the best window. Check fire restrictions before departing.
