What to expect
Mostly flat, easy walking on a well-formed track through low coastal heath. Sand and packed earth underfoot. Minimal shade, so exposed to sun and wind—typical of WA's southwestern coast. The track is clearly marked and straightforward, with gentle transitions between the beach and hinterland. Views open out to the bay as you walk.
Good to know
Carry water and sun protection; there's little shade. Spring (August–October) is ideal for wildflowers and mild weather. Summer heat and UV are intense. The beach is popular for swimming, so weekends busy. Wear sturdy shoes for sand and rough ground. Dogs may have restrictions—check locally.
