What to expect
A mix of sandy track and firmer ground underfoot, typical of WA coastal terrain. The route is gently undulating with no steep climbs. Clear signposting keeps navigation straightforward. Expect open coastal heath with limited natural shade; the exposed sections can be breezy but offer wide views. Spring wildflowers add colour to the landscape.
Good to know
- Waymarked route
Carry at least 1.5 litres of water per person—the coast is exposed and summer heat is intense. Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) is essential. Start early to avoid peak heat. Broome summers (Nov–Mar) bring high temperatures and bushfire risk; autumn and spring are most pleasant. Wear sturdy walking shoes for uneven ground.
