What to expect
Smooth asphalt throughout, minimal gradient changes—the freeway corridor is engineered for speed. The path runs alongside or beneath the Mitchell Freeway, so expect urban surroundings: road noise, occasional traffic crossings, and limited shade from trees early on. It's well signposted and relatively safe from traffic, but monotonous scenery over distance. Better in cooler months.
