- Remote, quiet track away from busy routes
What to expect
Uneven, unpaved track with roots, rocks and sections of steeper gradient. You'll traverse forest floor with variable footing — some firm, some soft and potentially muddy after rain. Minimal signposting is typical of regional bushwalks; navigation skill and attention are needed. Canopy provides intermittent shade, but be ready for open sections and changeable conditions.
Good to know
Carry at least 2 litres of water — no reliable supplies on track. Wear sturdy walking boots with good ankle support. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers mild temperatures and wildflowers; summer is hot and bushfire risk high. Winter can be wet and muddy. Start early, tell someone your plans, and check local conditions before you go.
