The Thrombolites Boardwalk is a short, easy concrete path near Mandurah that takes you to view rare layered rock formations—thrombolites—in a shallow coastal lake. At just 130 metres, it's perfect for a quick stop on a family outing or bike ride, offering a glimpse of geology shaped over thousands of years and the birdlife of the Indian Ocean's edge.

What to expect
Flat concrete boardwalk with minimal gradient. The short distance and level surface make this accessible for all ages and abilities. Clear views across the lake; limited shade, so sun exposure is typical. Well-formed path, easy to follow.
