What to expect
A firm footpath through mixed jarrah and marri woodland with heath understorey. Gentle to moderate grades throughout, with no steep climbs. The trail is well signposted and relatively shaded in places, though some sections are exposed to sun. Underfoot conditions are typically dry earth and packed sand.
Good to know
Carry at least 1–1.5 litres of water; there are no reliable water sources on trail. Wear sturdy walking boots for comfort over uneven ground. Spring (August–October) offers wildflowers. In summer, start early to avoid heat and check for bushfire risk. Dogs are often not permitted in reserve areas; check locally before bringing one.
