What to expect
The unpaved track winds through forest with gentle to moderate grades typical of gorge terrain. Expect tree roots, rocky sections and variable ground underfoot. The creek-side setting provides good shade, though some open sections may be exposed. Signposting should guide you; stay aware of creek crossings after rain when water levels rise.
Good to know
Carry 1–2 litres of water, especially in warmer months. Wear sturdy, closed-toe walking boots with good grip for tree roots and rocks. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers and pleasant temperatures. Summer heat and bushfire risk are significant; check fire bans before visiting. Avoid after heavy rain if creek levels are high.
