About this footpath

The route follows a well-maintained dirt path through local bushland, suitable for walkers with basic fitness. Allow about an hour return, or longer if you pause to enjoy views and the surrounding South-West forest.
Highlights
- Steady forest walk with scenic hilltop reward
- South-West jarrah and marri woodland
- Moderate elevation gain, achievable for most walkers
- Return route allows flexible pacing
- Denmark's accessible natural attraction
What to expect
A dirt path that climbs gradually through mixed forest, becoming steeper toward the summit. Underfoot is generally firm and well-defined, though can be muddy after rain. The trail is shaded for much of the walk but opens out near the top. Some rocky sections on the final approach; signposting is clear at key points.
Good to know
Carry water and sun protection; the South-West can be cool but the climb generates heat. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers. Wear sturdy walking boots with good grip for the steeper sections. Not suitable in high fire-danger days. Check local conditions before departing Denmark.
