What to expect
A dirt track that winds through dry sclerophyll forest with frequent ups and downs as it follows the creek line. Expect uneven, rocky footing in places and several creek crossings; some sections are steep. Signposting may be minimal in spots, so map or GPS is wise. Canopy cover is patchy—exposed to sun in open areas, shaded under tall forest.
Good to know
Carry 2–3 litres of water; the creek is not reliable for drinking. Wear sturdy boots with good ankle support for rocky terrain. Avoid summer months (December–February) due to heat and bushfire risk. Winter and spring (June–October) are ideal. Check local fire danger ratings before heading out. Allow extra time if navigation is unfamiliar.
