What to expect
Sealed or compacted surface, mostly level with gentle curves following the riverbank. Well signposted throughout. Expect open exposure to sun and little shade; the landscape is sparse scrub and red earth typical of the Pilbara. Wind can be a factor along the river corridor.
Good to know

- Waymarked route
Carry water and sun protection—summer heat is intense and shade scarce. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers mild weather and wildflowers. Check fire restrictions in warmer months. Suitable for hybrid or mountain bikes; casual road bikes may find the surface rough in patches.
