What to expect
A gentle walk on well-maintained gravel with minimal elevation change. The path is easy underfoot and suitable for standard walking shoes. Signposting should guide you to both Mushroom Rock and Rainbow Valley viewpoints. Expect open terrain with limited shade; the landscape is typical Kalbarri—sparse vegetation and exposed red earth.
Good to know
Carry water, especially in warmer months. Kalbarri summers are hot and dry; early morning or late afternoon walks are most comfortable. The gravel surface is easy on joints but wear sturdy footwear. No dogs allowed in national parks. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers the best conditions and wildflower displays.
