- Flat terrain, minimal elevation gain
- Local Broome area landscape character
What to expect
Dirt surface underfoot, mostly level walking with no significant gradients. The track is short enough to be straightforward to follow. Expect sparse tree cover typical of coastal heath—limited natural shade, so the trail is fairly open and exposed. Signposting should guide you on this straightforward route.
Good to know
Carry water even on short walks in the Kimberley; summer heat is intense and the open ground offers little shelter. Wear sturdy footwear and a hat. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers to the heathland. Avoid the hottest part of the day in summer, and be mindful of bushfire risk during the dry season.
