- 8.4 km loop format — no backtracking required
- Challenging gradient and terrain for intermediate walkers
- Quiet bushwalk away from town bustle
- Spring wildflowers August to October
What to expect
Undulating terrain with tree-lined sections and open areas; a mix of narrow track and wider paths. Expect variable gradient with some moderate climbs. The track should be signposted, though typical bushland navigation applies. Shade from jarrah and native woodland will ease afternoon heat, but sections remain exposed. Surface is natural track — firm in dry conditions, potentially muddy after rain.
Good to know
Carry at least 1–2 litres of water; there are no reliable water sources on the loop. Wear sturdy walking boots with good ankle support for uneven ground. Summer (Dec–Feb) brings heat and bushfire risk — walk early and check conditions. Spring offers cooler temperatures and wildflowers. Dogs are generally not permitted on WA national park and protected tracks.
