Carry plenty of water—the forest offers limited shelter and summer heat can be intense. Wear sturdy footwear or ride a capable bike; wet conditions after rain make the gravel slippery. Not suitable for casual cyclists or young riders. Avoid summer months due to bushfire risk. Check local conditions before heading out.
