What to expect

Uneven unpaved surface with sections of loose gravel, rocks and exposed tree roots. Signposting may be minimal—map and compass skills useful. Expect mud after rain and loose ground during dry periods.

Spring (Aug–Oct) is ideal. Summer carries bushfire risk—check fire danger levels before heading out. Mobile reception may be patchy.
