What to expect
Uneven, rocky unpaved track with significant elevation changes and steep pitches. Walking is technical in places; good boot grip is essential. Minimal shade in sections; canopy coverage varies. Track may be muddy after rain or overgrown in places. Minimal signposting—navigation by map and local knowledge advised.

Carry plenty of water and sun protection. Wear sturdy walking boots with ankle support. This track is exposed to summer bushfire risk; avoid December–February. Mobile reception may be patchy. Check conditions locally before setting out and consider starting early to finish in daylight.
