Good to know
Carry at least one litre of water. In summer (Dec–Feb), start early to avoid heat and check for bushfire risk before heading out. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip on loose earth. Spring (Aug–Oct) is peak wildflower season. Dogs are generally not permitted on DEC managed tracks within national parks; check locally first.
