Qualen Road is a challenging 15 km gravel track near Mundaring suited to experienced cyclists, horse riders and walkers. The route winds through bushland in the Perth Hills region, offering a genuine backcountry experience on unsealed terrain. Allow 3 hours 15 minutes and come prepared for variable ground conditions and exposed sections.

What to expect
Gravel surface with variable firmness and potential loose sections, especially after rain. Expect rolling terrain with some steep pitches that will test fitness. Limited shade in exposed areas; jarrah and marri woodland provides cover in parts. Track may be rough and rutted; walkers and riders need solid footwear and bike handling skills. Signposting likely minimal on remote sections.
