Yardie Gorge Trail

Yardie Gorge Trail is a short, easy walk near Exmouth that descends into a striking limestone gorge carved by Yardie Creek. The 640 m track takes about 10 minutes and suits all fitness levels. You'll find yourself surrounded by red-rock walls and native vegetation typical of the North West Cape, with good views of the gorge and creek below.

What to expect
Unpaved track descending gently into the gorge with natural steps and rocky footing. Mostly exposed to sun, with some shaded sections under native shrubs and low trees. Clear path, easy to follow. Terrain can be loose and rocky underfoot; take care on descent.
Good to know
Carry water—the Pilbara heat is intense and there is no shade for the whole walk. Wear sturdy footwear with grip for rocky ground. Best visited May to September when temperatures are cooler. Summer carries bushfire risk. No facilities at the trailhead; visit Exmouth for supplies and information.
