What to expect
Unformed track with rough, uneven ground underfoot. Expect steep sections and possibly muddy patches, especially after rain. The trail is lightly marked and navigating it demands good map-reading skills and bush sense. Limited shade in places; karri and marri forest provides some overhead cover. Fairly exposed in exposed sections so weather can change quickly.
Good to know
Carry plenty of water and a map—mobile coverage may be unreliable. Wear sturdy, ankle-supporting boots. Check conditions before setting out, especially in wet months (June–August) when tracks become boggy. Summer bushfire risk means avoid walking during high-risk days. Start early and allow full daylight.
