The Bibbulmun Wellington Spur Trail is a challenging 17 km walking route near Collie that forms part of the broader Bibbulmun Track network. This forest walk traverses forested terrain with some steep sections, rewarding fit walkers with a solid day's bushwalk through karri and marri country typical of the South-West. Allow 3.5–4 hours and bring plenty of water.

What to expect
Expect varied forest terrain with sections of steep climb and descent typical of South-West bushland. The track is well-signposted and generally formed, though roots and rocks underfoot are common. Shade from tall trees for much of the route, but some open areas may be exposed. Moderate to challenging grades throughout.

Carry at least 2 litres of water; there are few reliable water sources along the trail. Wear sturdy walking boots for grip on rooty sections. Best walked in cooler months (April–September); avoid summer due to heat and bushfire risk. Start early to complete before dark. Dogs are not permitted on the Bibbulmun Track.
