What to expect
Terrain shifts between well-formed forest roads, sealed shared paths and narrower single track, with variable gradient. The route winds through karri and jarrah woodland, open farmland and coastal heathland. Most sections are signposted; trail conditions vary with season and weather. Expect exposed stretches in heath and farmland, and shaded forest sections. Some climbs are moderate; others are gentler. Surface and drainage quality depend on recent rain.
Good to know
- Open to cyclists
- Waymarked route
This is a multi-day cycle tour; plan accommodation and resupply carefully. Carry plenty of water, especially through exposed heath sections. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers wildflower views and milder conditions; summer heat and bushfire risk make riding slower and more demanding. Ensure your bike is well-maintained. Sections may be closed seasonally due to fire risk or track work—check local conditions before departing.
