About this footpath

The 1.4 km spur offers a gentle introduction to the region's jarrah and marri forest, best suited to a quick outing or as a connector between two longer routes. Walk it as a 20-minute stroll or combine it with either trail for a fuller day.
Highlights
- Easy forest walk through South-West jarrah woodland
- Quiet connector between two established Collie trails
- Short enough for families and newcomers
- Gentle gradient, minimal exposure to heat
- Access to wider Bibbulmun Track network
What to expect
Well-formed footpath through open jarrah and marri forest with minimal gradient. The track is signposted and shaded for most of its length. Underfoot terrain is typical South-West forest floor—packed earth and leaf litter, generally firm and easy to walk. No steep sections or exposed rocky outcrops.
Good to know
Carry water even on short walks; South-West summers are hot and dry. Wear sturdy walking shoes for grip on leaf litter. Spring (August–October) brings wildflowers to the forest understory. The spur's brevity makes it suitable year-round, but avoid the peak heat of January–February. Dogs are not permitted on the Bibbulmun Track.
