Good to know
Carry water, especially in warm months. Pemberton summers are hot; if walking in November–March, start early and apply sunscreen. The trail is open year-round, but spring (August–October) brings wildflowers and pleasant temperatures. Wear comfortable walking shoes with good grip on gravel. Dogs are often not permitted in forest reserves; check locally.
