What to expect
Well-formed footpath winding through mixed karri and jarrah forest. Moderate gradient with gentle rises and falls, no steep sections. Track is clearly signposted and maintained. Expect dappled shade under the forest canopy, though some open sections may be exposed. Generally dry underfoot, though can be muddy after rain.
Good to know
Carry water even on a short walk—the South-West can be warm, especially in summer. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers to the forest floor. Summer carries bushfire risk; check local conditions before visiting. Dogs are usually not permitted in national parks.
