What to expect
A well-formed unpaved track winding through dense South-West forest. Expect moderate, rolling terrain underfoot with packed earth and likely some loose stones. Canopy cover from tall timber provides good shade for most of the walk. The track is reasonably clear and straightforward to follow. Footing can be uneven in places after rain.
Good to know
Carry at least one litre of water—forest cover can hide the heat. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip for unpaved sections. Spring (August–October) offers wildflowers and cooler temps; avoid peak summer heat. Check conditions locally before heading out; winter rain can affect track quality.
