What to expect
Unpaved track through mixed native forest typical of the South-West. Expect gentle to moderate grades with plenty of shade under jarrah and marri. The track should be well-defined; allow 45 minutes at an easy pace. Relatively sheltered, though exposed sections may catch afternoon heat in summer.
Good to know
Carry at least 1–2 litres of water per person. Wear sturdy walking boots for traction on unpaved ground. Spring (August–October) is pleasant; avoid mid-summer (December–February) when heat and bushfire risk are high. Check local conditions before heading out, especially in fire season.
