Emerald Road is a moderate 6.6 km gravel track near Pemberton, walkable in about 90 minutes. The trail winds through typical South-West forest country—jarrah and marri woodland—offering a straightforward walk without steep climbs. What to expect
Gravel underfoot, generally even gradient with no major climbs. The track runs through established forest with good overhead shade in places. Good to know
Carry at least 1–1.5 litres of water; there are no reliable sources along the track. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip for gravel. Spring (August–October) offers wildflowers and mild weather. Summer brings heat and bushfire risk; check local conditions before visiting.
