What to expect
An unpaved bush track with gentle to moderate grades. The surface is natural dirt and forest floor, which can be soft or uneven depending on recent weather. Shade from surrounding trees for much of the walk, though some open sections expose you to sun. The track should be signposted but remains quieter than major regional routes; wear sturdy footwear with ankle support.
Good to know
Carry at least 1–2 litres of water; there are no facilities along the track. Spring (August–October) brings wildflowers and milder temperatures. Avoid the walk during or immediately after heavy rain when the track becomes slippery. Summer carries bushfire risk; check local conditions before heading out.
