Good to know
- Waymarked route
Carry at least 1.5 litres of water, especially in warmer months. Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) is essential—Rottnest's exposure offers little shelter. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers. Sturdy walking shoes suit sandy tracks. Avoid mid-summer heat. Dogs are not permitted on Rottnest Island.
