What to expect
Ground surface with gentle undulations typical of karri country. The path winds through native forest with good overhead shade from tall karri and associated trees. Signposting guides you to the lake, where the terrain flattens slightly at the water's edge. No steep climbs; mostly an easy-paced walk with occasional minor elevation change.
Good to know
Carry water, especially in warmer months. Wear sturdy footwear for uneven ground. Spring (August–October) brings wildflowers to the forest floor. Summer heat and bushfire risk mean early morning walks are safer. Check local conditions before visiting, particularly during fire season (December–February).
