What to expect
A gravel track with gentle to moderate grades through dense karri woodland. The surface is firm and well-maintained, with good shade from the tall canopy. Signposting is clear. Terrain underfoot is mostly level to rolling; expect some gentle ascents but nothing steep. The walk feels immersed in forest the whole way.
Good to know
Carry plenty of water, especially in warmer months. Spring (Aug–Oct) shows wildflowers at their best. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip for gravel. In summer, start early to avoid heat and check local bushfire restrictions. Dogs are not permitted in most forest reserves in this area.
