What to expect
Uneven, unpaved ground with roots, rocks and soft sections underfoot. Gradual climbs and descents typical of jarrah and marri forest. Minimal signposting—navigation skills or trail knowledge helpful. Good to know
Carry plenty of water; summer heat and dry conditions are serious hazards. Wear sturdy, ankle-supporting boots or off-road shoes. Check conditions after heavy rain. Spring (August–October) offers wildflowers. Avoid summer (December–February) due to bushfire risk. This is a backcountry route—go prepared and tell someone your plans.
