Good to know
Carry water even on a one-hour walk—the forest canopy and distance from town mean few refill points. Wear sun protection and sturdy walking shoes. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers cooler conditions and wildflowers; summer brings heat and bushfire risk. Dogs are not permitted in national parks or on some forest tracks; check local rules.
