What to expect

Good to know
Carry water even for this short walk—Rottnest's exposed terrain offers little shelter and dehydration is quick. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers. Summer heat can be intense; start early. Dogs are not permitted on Rottnest Island walking trails. Wear sturdy, closed shoes and sun protection.
