- Short enough for a quick outing
- Unpaved woodland track
- Suitable for families and beginners
What to expect
An unpaved track through typical South-West tall timber. Terrain is mostly level to gently rolling, with natural forest floor underfoot—expect soft earth, leaf litter and possibly sections of loose gravel or small roots. The tall trees provide good shade. The track should be clearly marked; allow 25 minutes at a steady pace.
Good to know
Carry water even on a short walk—WA forest can feel hotter than expected. Wear sturdy walking shoes with grip for unpaved ground. Best walked in spring (Aug–Oct) for wildflowers and cooler temperatures. Summer heat and bushfire risk make this a less appealing time. Check local conditions before heading out.
