What to expect
Flat to gently rolling unpaved track underfoot, shaded in places by jarrah and marri. The road is straightforward to follow with little gradient. Some exposure where the canopy thins; generally well-marked but check for signposting on arrival. Mostly even walking surface with the occasional rut or loose gravel.
Good to know
Carry water despite the short distance, especially in warmer months. Wear sturdy shoes suitable for unpaved surfaces. Spring (Aug–Oct) brings wildflowers. In summer, watch for bushfire risk and walk early. Dogs are often restricted in forest reserves—check locally before visiting.
