What to expect
Uneven, rocky and potentially muddy unpaved surface with roots and stones underfoot. The track climbs and descends through typical karri and jarrah forest with moderate shade. Expect some steep sections and creek beds to negotiate; signposting may be minimal in places, so navigation skills and awareness are important.
Good to know
Carry plenty of water—at least 2 litres—and wear sturdy, well-gripped hiking boots. The track can be slippery after rain and muddy underfoot. Summer brings heat and bushfire risk; autumn and spring are better seasons. Check local conditions before setting out and allow extra time if unfamiliar with the area.
